Memefarm Mainnet Launch: WE’RE LAUNCHING BEFORE XMAS!
DeFi projects are under immense pressure to build quickly and beat competitors. Sometimes it’s best to take a pause and align strategy as the industry sands shift below our feet. That’s just what we did.
Meanwhile, our farming Dapp has been built and tested, smart contracts have been audited and evaluated on testnet, and the Apes are ready to go. We plan to launch farming before Christmas day, possibly as soon as Tuesday. Following our fair launch, those who are top farmers of $MFRM can receive crypto girlfriends.
Why the delay?
Shifting sands.
We validated that the NFT DAO concept is a novel and attractive new way to revitalize yield farming. It’s clear most of the development for now is on Ethereum. However, Binance Smart Chain is growing exponentially, and we are very keen to bring MemeFarm to Binance. This required a bit of rework and realignment of moving pieces. Again, we’d rather launch right than launch a platform that cannot be upgraded, or would prove to be incompatible with future development.
In short:
- We decided to launch on Ethereum first (Before Xmas!)
- Bring MemeFarm to Binance Smart Chain in early Feb.
- NFT DAO will continue to be developed as we work to cross launch on BSC
- NFT DAO *should* be ready by the time the BSC port is complete.
1, 2, 3, 4 — BAM!
The Apes believe this plan will allow us to grow at a much faster pace, and if accepted, enable MemeFarm to receive additional support.
In anticipation for the wild ride ahead, we firmed up further dedicated in-house development resources who will allow us to hit deadlines on time from now on.
After the MemeFarm launch and Xmas madness is over, we will also produce a fortnightly project update from early January onwards.
MemeFarm and its NFT DAO is an idea whose time has come. All our partners love how simple and sensible our design is. We even firmed up end-game plans for $APE — that news will have to wait for mid January though!
Timeline
Phase 1 - Before Xmas 2020 — Merry Mememy Xmas Farmers!
Phase 2 - Late Jan, Prob Feb — launch MemeFarm port on Binance Smart Chain if accepted
Phase 3 - Feb/March — Launch NFT DAO
Phase 4 - Super secret plan to turn $APE into a DAO with community voting and new features
MemeFarm Tokenomics Reminder
MemeFarm is a fair launch! The early bird gets the worm.
- $MFRM tokens supply uncapped
- Initial farming will last 200k blocks and reward farmers 20 tokens/block. After the initial period the reward will be 10 tokens/block
- No pre-mines or pre-sales, meaning all users start with an equal chance to earn MFRM tokens
- 21 Total Crypto Girlfriend NFTs commissioned by the team. Every week, the top 3 farmers of $MFRM will receive an NFT until supply runs out
